25 Limited Frank Kozik 'A Clockwork Carrot' Figures in Japan

Frank Kozik posted earlier today that a limited quantity matte black Clockwork Carrot figure would be available to 25 people in Japan who attend Super Festival, April 28.

Apexplorers Artdol Mini Figures Faceoff with Winson Ma

Winson Ma, has released prototype images of his latest project 'Apexplorers Artdol'
Mini Figures and don't they look cool (no pun intended).

Continuing on from his Artdol Family Monkey Gorilla Faceoff series it appears that the 3" vinyl characters of Jungle, Dr.X, T-Rex, Otto, Adam and Ice all have special masks that can be switched between them. Under the mask, they have another look but by the imges it's not clear at this stage what they will look like.

Still representing the belief that everyone has two points of view Winson has created a "Planet of the Apes" in a polar type scenario where Humans and Ape cohabitant together. 

It's not clear on when these will drop, price or how they will be package but we'll keep

you posted. 

Tee of the Day: Kidrobber from Kidrobot

Tee of the Day goes to Kid Robot's "Mini Robber". The figure on the tee is 'Kidrobber' one of the eleven bots from the Kid Robot 3" vinyl series.

Count Calorie is a Cereal Killer

Ron English has a new cereal killer "Count Calorie" to accompany Cap'n Cornstarch and Fat Tony in his highly successful series. Standing at 8" tall, Count Calorie is an apostle of fatty goodness. 

 
The detail and finish of the Count  is what we've come to expect from Ron English, fantastic and by collecting them all, you can form your own Last Fat Breakfast! There is no word on a release date but you can pre-order the vinyl Count of Fatty Goodness now from My Plastic Heart.

D-Arts turns up the Bass and Treble on Megaman

If you're a Megaman fan then get excited as Tamashii Nations has announced the upcoming release of Megaman's ultimate rival 'Bass and Treble'. Bass comes inclusive with additional arm parts for the Bass Buster and two replacement faces for action posing.

Like the D-Arts Rockman, Bass' wolf robot partner Treble is included. Bass is a well articulated vinyl action figure that stands tall at a huge 46". You can pre-order Bass and Treble now from Gundam Planet which will ship early July.

Robots and Donuts! A Delicious Future for Eric Joyner.

Over the past few years Eric Joyner has made a name for himself by being featured in dozens of galleries and won multiple awards. But it's his Robot and Donuts series of paintings which attracts most of his attention. And why wouldn't it as his works depicts retro style robots exploring and participating in various activities that involves a Donut/s. So, why Robots and Donuts?

 “Upon deciding to become a gallery artist, I had to make some rules, or guidelines. They were as follows: 

1. I will only paint things I like, 
2. The subject(s) had to be something that I could paint for 30 years, and 
3. That people like it.

US teacher pitches Muppets idea to LEGO

A 39-year-old teacher has created a selection of mini figs and play-sets based on the Muppets. Quinn Rollins has pitched his idea using the LEGO Cuusoo website, which allows users to vote for their favourite fan-made creations. Those with 10,000 votes will be officially reviewed by LEGO, and one will be chosen for production every three months, with Rollins Muppets sets currently 7,500 votes short of an official LEGO review.

LEGO Cuusoo has already seen a Back to the Future LEGO set enter production, and LEGO Legend of Zelda reviewed.

Rollins has created 40 Muppet LEGO mini figs including Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and even Gonzo. Although the mini figs aren't to a standard we would expect from LEGO, it is the idea that counts with LEGO Cuusoo voters. If his idea makes it into production, Rollins will receive one per cent of the royalties from all sales made and the admiration of a lot of Muppets fans.

Optimus is Primed to be Super Deformed by Excellent Toys

Excellent Toys have released images of their new project 'CR-M01' or better known as the Super Deformed Optimus Prime action figure on their Facebook page. 

It appears that Optimus has a great amount of articulation with the ability to transform from robot to truck mode just like in the animated series. There is no other information about size or compound of the 'CR-M01 Optumus' project but we'll keep you posted.

Amazing Custom Hellboy Dunny

Check out this amazing private commission Custom 3.3" Dunny Hellboy from Jared Cain aka Nikejerk.  The custom sculpted fist, tail, hooves and the face which first the first time Nikejerk used the back of the head as the front.

Is C3PO Worth His Weight In Gold?

When Han called C3PO "Golden Rod" little did when know someone would make that happen with this Custom 24K Gold Plated Star Wars C3PO Lego Mini Fig. 3PO is available on eBay and it's designer lisbranike75 explains that the gold is real and it was plated by a very sophisticated process:

"This minifigure was chrome plated using Real 24k Gold. This minifigure is made with genuine Lego Plastic parts that have been Chrome Plated using a Vacuum Metalization Process (which vaporizes Aluminum and 24k GOLD to create the chrome plating effect). The Torso is made with a High quality water slide decal seal. It is clear coated to provide great wear protection for play or display." - lisbranike75
