Ugly Dols go Hero with DC Comics

Uglydolls and DC Comics have announced their collaboration together that will see Uglydolls characters become DC Comic superheroes in plush form! The first two are two versions (modern and retro designs) of Ice Bat as Batman and Babo as Superman. 


Standing at 11" tall the Uglydolls DC plushes will be released in August but you can first seem on display at this years SDCC in July.


Funko will also be producing some vinyl figures based on the Uglydolls and DC Comics collaboration that will be released in time for the holiday season but no images or any other information has come forward but we'll keep you up to date.

Giant Robot & Ugly Dolls on Free Comic Book Day

May 4 is not only May the Forth Day for Star Wars fans but also Free Comic Book for Geeks around the world. It seems with it's ever growing popularity, Ugly Doll has it's own awesome comic to add to the list of Free Comics being offered on the day. 



David Horvath creator of the Ugly Dolls will be at the Giant Robot store on the day signing copies of the comic with it's front cover representing Action Comics #1 Ugly Doll style. For more information about the event go here.

Video: David Horvath gives Thrash Lab an Ugly Doll

Thrash Lab in collaboration with Giant Robot are producing a series called "Profiles", which looks at the ideas and lives of creators/artists with Uglydoll creator David Horvath the next up in this series. From a simple character drawing in a letter margin by David Horvath to his now wife, Sun-Min Kim, Uglydoll was born around 10 years ago. 


In this video Thrash Lab reveal how Uglydoll began at a single idea and now the toy has evolved so large that you can find them at Toys"R"Us.
