Lego Announces Huge Ewok Village

Lego has announced another huge construction set as part of their long running Star Wars line. The Ewok Village will consists of the most vegetation in a Lego set with 4 trees that rotate, 17 mini-figs with 5 of them NEW and exclusive to the set and close to 2000 pieces!

Hasbro Star Wars Angry Birds Classic Package Series

io9 have exclusively revealed that Hasbro's SDCC special edition item this year will be the Angry Birds Star Wars Special Edition Set, featuring the Angry Birds re-dressed in the classic Star Wars Kenner toy packaging, which look totally ace.

Largest LEGO Model Ever and it's Star Wars

The largest LEGO model ever was revealed in Times Square today. The huge X-Wing  model is made of 5,335,200 bricks and took 32 designers 17,000 hours to build!

The replica weighs nearly 46,000 pounds and took 32 master builders, five million LEGO bricks and over 17,000 hours to complete.

The model will remain in Times Square as an interactive exhibit through May 25 and after Times Square, the X-Wing will be landing in July at the Legoland California Resort for the remainder of the year.

Star Wars' Zuckuss is a Gentle Giant

Gentle Giants has released images of the next in line for The Star Wars Jumbo vintage series with Zuckuss. Digitally scanned from the 3 3/4" figure Zuckuss using roto and injected moulds using durable plastic.

The giant figure is well articulated and comes with his signature blaster rifle. Zuckuss will be available for pre-order at the end of May here and available for release in the first quarter of next year.

You Can Now Be A Stormtrooper Figurine

Disney's Hollywood Studios is offering visitors the chance to put your own face on a 3D printed Star Wars Stormtrooper as part of its annual Star Wars Weekends event.

Disney is using high quality single-shot technology to create the 3D rendering of you as a would-be Stormtrooper in just ten minutes. Those who take part will then receive a 7.5" model in the post roughly two months later.

Disney are also opening last year's Carbon-Freeze Me experience again, popping visitors into a carbonite freeze casket just like the one that trapped Han Solo. Both figure will start running during the weekends between May 17 through to June 9.

Star Wars Vinylmation Series 3 sees the Return of the Jedi

Disney's popular Star Wars Vinylmation series 3 is back and this time based entirely on Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. 

Star Wars Vinylmation Series 3 includes Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Admiral Ackbar, Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise, Princess Leia as the bounty hunter Boushh, a Gamorrean Guard, Nien Nunb, the Emperor’s Royal Guard, Ewok Logray, an Imperial Biker Scout, Ewok Wicket and Bib Fortuna.

This series has one variant, a maskless Princess Leia as Boushh, and one super rare chaser, the evil Emperor Palpatine. There is some main characters missing from the series like Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2. Star Wars Vinylmation Series 3 will be a limited edition release sold blind box style beginning on May 17.

And get super excited about the Han Solo in Carbonite 3” Vinylmation window boxed figure which has a limited run of 2,000 pieces which will drop June 7.

And last but not least is Disney’s very first 9” Star Wars Vinylmation figure Jabba the Hutt. The awesome accessory to Jabba is a 1.5” Salacious B. Crumb Vinylmation figure. This also has a limited run with only 1,000 pieces that will drop May 24.

Tee of the Day: Kenner Rorschach by Super7

Our Tee of the Day goes to Kenner Rorschach by Super7. This tee features the original 21 STAR WARS action figures released by Kenner in the 70s and arranged in a Rorschach pattern.

Is C3PO Worth His Weight In Gold?

When Han called C3PO "Golden Rod" little did when know someone would make that happen with this Custom 24K Gold Plated Star Wars C3PO Lego Mini Fig. 3PO is available on eBay and it's designer lisbranike75 explains that the gold is real and it was plated by a very sophisticated process:

"This minifigure was chrome plated using Real 24k Gold. This minifigure is made with genuine Lego Plastic parts that have been Chrome Plated using a Vacuum Metalization Process (which vaporizes Aluminum and 24k GOLD to create the chrome plating effect). The Torso is made with a High quality water slide decal seal. It is clear coated to provide great wear protection for play or display." - lisbranike75

Skull Toys Produces Skull Wars

Featured in the Rising Tide 2 exhibit that ran from December 2011 to January 2012 at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago, Japanese artist Skulltoys has created “Skull Wars”, a two-piece series featuring Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper from Star Wars as skull-like figures. 

The two Ink on Paper (Cradled Mount) 14.25" x 20.25" pieces are still available at Rotofugi.
